Reunion at Seafood Expo
Old friends, new waters. Klaas Puul and KOP go way back on international trade show projects, but for a while… the suitcase stayed closed.
Until Seafood Expo Global in Barcelona came onto the calendar. Klaas Puul’s international collaboration with Sykes Seafood and their refreshed brand identity called for a comeback worthy of the stage. They knew exactly who to call.
The brief was clear: go beyond “just a nice stand.” The partnership with Sykes Seafood and the renewed brand identity needed to be translated into a space that strategically represented the brand’s story. At the same time, the stand needed room for real conversations: a closed meeting space with a presentation screen for in-depth discussions.
Products had to be presented cleanly and attractively, with easy and fast tasting for visitors. And when you’re working with fresh seafood, there’s no detail more critical than one thing: continuous, around-the-clock cooling throughout the entire show.
KOP brought everything together in an open, inviting two-level stand where brand experience, hospitality, and interaction reinforce each other.
Downstairs is where it all comes to life: perfectly chilled product displays, the brand story, and live cooking by the chef (fresh seafood bites served straight into the hands of visiting guests.) Visitors were invited to experience and immediately engage with the teams from Klaas Puul and Sykes Seafood. Upstairs, the pace got slower. A calm environment designed for meetings, focus, and in-depth conversations.

The overall attention to detail didn’t go unnoticed. During the show, Klaas Puul was awarded the Seafood Excellence Special Award for retail packaging. A recognition that perfectly matches what was presented on the floor: craftsmanship, respect for the product, and an execution that holds its cool all the way to the final detail.
