The event industry continues to grow. Almost every event has sustainability embedded in the implementation, but the commitment to future-proof stand construction is staying behind. Less waste, reuse of resources and sustainable material choices. Together we can reduce the footprint of tradeshows.
Consciously dealing with our earth is a responsibility that we all have. If you want to work more sustainably as an organization, it is nice if your partners share this mission. In our entire process we keep in mind the circularity of materials, we only work with LED lighting and we drive more and more electrically. In addition, we prefer to make sustainable and circular stands. Read on to see what we can do for you in the field of sustainable and circular stand building.
At KOPexpo we are aware that we do not work in the most sustainable industry, but that does not mean that we cannot do our best to operate as consciously and sustainably as possible. How? By setting up sustainable initiatives from small to large.
We were asked by Rabo Real Estate Finance to develop a sustainable and circular stand for the Provada. The stand not only had to look sustainable, but it also had to be sustainable.

Throwing away plants is not an option at KOP. We ensure that if a lot of greenery is left over from the fair, it ends up in care homes or we ensure that these get a new owner.

By thinking about materials that are used during the fair and raw materials that can be reused after a fair, we can map out new directions. The development of a sustainable exhibition stand starts with the design and the associated material choices.
For the best results in the field of stand construction, we have been working with poplar wood for years. This is the basis for many of our exhibition stands. The wood we use ensures that many wood can be reused: from doors to walls and from coves to bobbins. For this we only use certified wood that comes from sustainable forest management. In addition, we are always looking for materials that are not only very beautiful, but also durable. Think of cork, recycled rubber, fabric from recycled PET bottles or material that lasts longer.
Consciously dealing with the environment starts with yourself. At KOP, we believe sustainability in our workplace is just as important. We therefore already take sustainability into account in our approach. We do this by, for example, storing materials after a fair, so that they can be re-registered and used. In this way we ensure that walls, floors, cabinets and tables are never used once.
We are happy to take you into the wonderful world of sustainable stand construction. Both nationally and internationally. Not only by developing a sustainable and circular stand, but also by helping to make conscious choices in the field of sustainability. We can advise you based on our experience or we go out to gain new ideas or applications. We like to inspire others with our findings. A good example of this is the stand for Rabobank at the PROVADA in the RAI Amsterdam.
