KOP x Better Stands: It’s the perfect match!
KOP is officially a member of Better Stands. An international initiative promoting reuse in exhibition stand construction. And one we’re proud to support. After all, creating sustainable solutions has become something of a specialty of ours.
A new ambition. A new approach
Back in 2018, we found a partner in Rabobank with a clear ambition. They challenged us to develop the most sustainable exhibition stand possible. One that minimized waste and maximized the use of reusable materials. But also one that was practical to build and impossible for visitors to ignore.
Sounds great. But how do you make that happen in an industry dominated by single-use construction and the constant drive for the lowest possible price? Especially at a time when sustainability was barely on the radar?
It called for a fundamentally different approach. Without compromising on appearance, experience, or communication impact, of course.
And all that hard work paid off! The stand concept we first introduced at PROVADA in 2018 has continued to evolve over the years and is still turning heads in 2026.
The time is right for Better Stands
Fast-forward to today. What felt like pioneering territory in 2018 has become an increasingly important topic of conversation. And rightly so. Change is essential.
Better Stands is playing an important role in making that change happen. Following a pilot program in 2023, its sustainability objectives were formalized, and the Better Stands organization was established under the Net Zero Carbon Events (NZCE) initiative. Since then, it has grown into a widely supported international initiative dedicated to encouraging reuse in exhibition stand construction.
With 13 Better Stands Awards already under our belt, becoming an active member was the obvious next step.
And we’re just getting started! We’ll keep raising the bar for sustainable stand construction, with the goal of earning even more awards for our clients and building stronger partnerships around sustainability.
