Say hello to project manager Erik! He has joined the team a couple of months ago, right in the busiest period of the year. According to himself, this was only an advantage because he immediately had the chance to get to know everything and everyone within the company very quickly. He'll tell you all about it:

'My name is Erik Lindeboom, I'm thirty-something years old and live together with my wife in Nijverdal, the Netherlands.

On the 1st of april 2018 I started working at KOPexpo as project manager for exhibition stand and interior projects. In my previous job I was account manager at an interior development company where I often ended up being an ad-hoc project manager for construction projects. This was a very challenging job. When Marius asked me if I was interested in becoming a project manager at KOPexpo all I thought was: I would be crazy if I didn't take this opportunity!

From München until Utrecht

In my first month as a project manager I had to get to know all the different departments within the company: I worked with the production team in the workshop, I joined the construction team to build exhibition stands on site and I soon started to work on the development on the management and development of projects. In a very short period of time I have worked on projects in München, Lyon, Amsterdam and Utrecht. After these three months I can only conclude that becoming a project manager at KOP has been the right decision!

The atmosphere at the company and amongst colleages definitely contributes to this. The team is super professional, but they get along in an informal way. They work hard but also take the time to relax and have fun together. Work hard, play hard!

Every day is different

As a project manager, not one day is like the other. Each exhibition stand is unique and has it's own features and challenges to take into account. There are many facets of this job that require a lot of structure and planning: organising, ordering, drawing technical drawings, instructing the production- and construction teams and of course the final construction on site.

Only with the right mindset and tools you can work towards the required end result which will make the customer happy. Once the customer is happy, we're happy too. In the end our exhibition stands and interiors help them to grow their business, which is quite a responsibility!

When I come home after a day of hard working I love to cook. Cooking, for me, is the ultimate way to relax. After dinner I like to go to the gym or spend time with my wife on the couch.

Hopefully we meet each other soon! - Erik

Did you know that Erik loves ice skating? And are you curious who he would take on holiday to a desert island? Read on!
