Meet our calculator, Eelco

He has been a member of the KOPexpo team for over two months now, and it seems like he has been a colleague for years. Our cheerful colleague and calculator Eelco plays an important role for the design studio, the account managers and project management. He dives into the financial structure of our projects on a daily basis and ensures that this is done carefully and accurately. Read on to find out more about Eelco and his first period as a calculator at KOP.

'My name is Eelco Haak and I'm 39 years young. Together with my wife and sons Aron of five and Kynan of seven I live in Apeldoorn. I have been working at KOP since the 1st of November last year.

During the first month at KOP I was allowed to participate in all layers of the process so that I could see and experience many different aspects and departments within the organization. I joined the construction team during the construction of multiple exhibition stands in Frankfurt, Munich & Rotterdam and I was involved in deconstructing an exhibition stand in Brussels.

There's a lot more to standbuilding than I initially expected. After the construction of the exhibition stands, I've had I had sore muscles for days. The next step was to join the workplace for a couple of days, helping the carpenters to produce the unique elements of the stands for the upcoming exhibitions. I don't mind working with my hands at all. Finally, I got involved in warehouse management and got to work with project management and the account managers.

There was a lot of information to take in, as you can imagine, but it was very educational and a lot of fun. I immediately felt involved with everything and everyone within the organization and had the right knowledge to carry out my job as a calculator properly.

I'ts a nice coincidence that many colleages are into sports, just like me. I am a fanatic runner and regularly participate in regional running contests. This photo was taken during the so-called 'koudepolderloop' last month.

As you can read I am very happy with my new job. I feel very comfortable, the days fly by and I have plenty of new energy en enthousiasm. With my imput and experience, I hope to contribute to the development and growth of this organization. I recently celebrated KOPexpo's 10th anniversary with all of my colleagues and have seen how they managed to build a strong and consistent organization over these years. I have high expectations for the future.

I think there's a special atmosphere at KOP. It is very work-oriented, but also sociable and there's a close team in which I was warmly welcomed. I am proud to be part of this team and hope be part of it for plenty of years. ''
